Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how NurseCredential may collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information through its websites and services.

This Privacy Policy applies to NurseCredential websites, applications, and services that link to it. It is intended as a general policy framework and may be supplemented by customer agreements, business associate agreements, consent records, product-specific notices, or jurisdiction-specific disclosures.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the services, we may collect account and profile information, professional and credential information, organization and employment relationship data, uploaded documents, consent and sharing records, communications, support requests, usage information, device and log information, and data obtained from authorized external or public credential sources.

2. Credential and Professional Data

NurseCredential is designed to distinguish authoritative external-source credential data from nurse-reported or workflow-generated information. We may store source references, verification status, credential versions, provenance, timestamps, and related evidence to support verification and auditability.

3. How We Use Information

  • Provide, secure, maintain, and improve the services.
  • Verify identity and professional credentials.
  • Support nurse profiles, wallet functions, consent, attestations, corrections, applications, and organization relationships.
  • Provide employer and staffing credentialing workflows.
  • Send service, security, credential-change, and workflow notifications.
  • Detect misuse, investigate incidents, and enforce agreements.
  • Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information with organizations you authorize, customer organizations using the services, service providers acting on our behalf, verification and data-source partners where necessary, and government or legal authorities when required by law. We may also share information in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to applicable protections.

5. Nurse Consent and Organization Access

Where the product provides nurse-controlled association or credential-sharing features, access may be governed by explicit consent, relationship status, role-based access, tenant scope, and applicable customer agreements. Revoking consent may limit future access but may not require deletion of records that an organization must retain for legal, compliance, audit, or employment purposes.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website may use necessary cookies and similar technologies for security, preferences, analytics, and service operation. See our Cookie Policy for additional information.

7. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the services, maintain credential and audit history, satisfy contractual obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal requirements. Retention periods may vary by data type and customer context.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and service. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect credentials and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state or country, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, or information about certain disclosures or processing. Some rights may be limited by law, verification requirements, or retention obligations. Submit privacy requests to privacy@nursecredential.com.

10. Sensitive and Regulated Information

Customers may configure the services for healthcare workforce operations. The treatment of protected health information, if any, is governed by applicable law and contractual terms such as a business associate agreement where required. This Privacy Policy does not itself create a HIPAA-covered relationship.

11. Children

The services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the services.

12. State-Specific Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional privacy rights under applicable comprehensive privacy laws. We will process verified requests as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against individuals for exercising legally protected privacy rights.

13. International Users

If information is transferred across national borders, we will use legally appropriate transfer mechanisms where required. Availability of the services outside the United States may be limited.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and provide additional notice when legally required.
